Ego Boyo drags RMD to movie set

The buzz is that talented producer and former actress, Ego Boyo is staging a comeback into the production block after few years of disappearing from the scene. She is dragging the celebrated actor-turned-politician, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) along with her, as she concludes plans to commence shooting of a film, an adaptation of a novel by award winning writer, Sefi Atta. Ego, best known for her role as Anne Haatrope, in the 80s soap opera, ‘Checkmate” produced her last movie, “30 Days” about three years ago, and since then nothing has been heard of her. Her current project is generating a lot of excitement due to her reputation for quality as well as the impressive array of talents she has assembled for the project. HVP gathered that the new film will be directed by award winning director, Akin Omotoso (Man on Ground), and will feature the likes of Richard Mofe-Damijo, Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Lala Akindoju, and Chukie Edozien, amongst others.
